Website Brief

This website brings us a lot of positive feedback, and brings the client a high rate of conversion. Thoburn and Chapman became a finalist in the Accountancy Age Awards 2010, and we were able to reflect this prestigious status in the design of the website in a manner that instantly draws in the end-user. The layout is what helps this website stand out from the rest as the navigation is on the left, the content on the right but the calls to action are offset centre. This has helped to get important snippets of information into the body copy and provides links to deeper pages on the website. This website has a clean and clear layout that end users find appealing.

Website Brief

Power In Numbers wanted to break away from the norm, but still attain a website that is easy to navigate and reference. The layout is essentially a three-column arrangement, but is represented in blocks of information. We have continued the box theme in the animated menu system. The large header images are lifted by the use of the corporate colour. The right-hand bar is enhanced with a HD video of the client speaking about how the practice can help clients. This is a great way to make a first impression and create an instant connection with the user. The services page is broken down using an interactive menu system that keeps the page from becoming cluttered but still retains all the information on the page, saving the end-user from jumping from page to page and becoming frustrated.

Website Brief

AVN Picktree wanted a corporate website that holds character. The two column layout works perfectly to suit their needs as this creates a central source of information on each page, whilst having eye catching offers on the left. AVN Picktree also chose the video package and have opted to have the video in the side bar. We have heard lots of great feedback on this feature, most feedback focused on how clear their message comes across and how the footage is of such high quality. The client also wanted a logo design that played on the business name but was modern and suitable for use across all of their stationery.

Website Brief

McGregors Corporate wanted a website to stand out from the rest by using bold colours. a key feature on this website is the typography in the header on each section. This ties in the brand's message with the content on each page. Supporting the website are online documents which can be accessed through the side bar offers. These can be viewed online with a page turn effect when the reader clicks and drags a corner of the document. This makes documents easier to read and gives them the paper feeling just like you are in the office reading a brochure speaking to an accountant.

Website Brief

Hayles and Partners Limited wanted a relaxed and open approach. This was achieved by using a white background, which creates a cool and calming canvas to place the website content on. By keeping the navigation simple and the layout spaced we are able to create a website that users from all backgrounds can appreciate and interact with easily. By reducing the end-users’ frustrations as much as possible we are able to help them help themselves around the website, which leads to a higher conversion rate from the high traffic that this site receives on a daily basis.

Website Brief

Real Tax Edge wanted a traditional and modern website in one. We used serif typefaces and gave it a layout that you might typically find in print media, with large quotes, clear headings and body copy. The branding and colours came from re-designing the logo. We hear a lot of great feedback on the logo as it uses three colours and shapes that break into one another to create edges. By using quotes the website gains more authority as to the messages that it portrays, which in turn lead to higher conversions from the visitors. A website needs to have great content but also a design that makes the user trust the practice enough to get in touch with them, and hopefully be converted into a long term client.

This website utilises a full-width banner that draws a lot of the users attention to the key messages on the website, and provides links to that content, which help the end user get the information that they require fast. By using a different font for the headings the website gains character, and a link to the logo typography. By using block colour with reversed text in the offer boxes, we are able to help the user to instantly distinguish the body copy from the eye catching calls to action.

Website Brief

Winn and Co are an accountancy firm from Yorkshire, with offices in Scarborough and Bridlington. They wanted to express their regional heritage on the company website. The approach we used was to use local imagery, which has helped to make the website stand out from the rest and support the idea that they are part of the local business community. The feedback from end-users suggests that they love the animated navigation on the left-hand side, and also the clear calls to action down the right-hand side. The layout of the copy is a single column that's not too wide and is broken down with concise headings, these help end users to get to the information they need as quickly as possible.
